You will work during school term time only transporting some of the vulnerable children and young adults of Birmingham to school and back home. The average daily working hours are split into morning and afternoon shifts. Mon – Fri ranging on average from 06.30 – 09.30 am and 2.30 – 5.30 pm.

We require professional, patient, reliable and punctual drivers who can offer a degree of flexibility on the times they work.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential. You must be willing to learn, and successful applicants will receive full or refresher job training. All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and by applying for this position, applicants are agreeing to a Full Drivers Check via the DVLA. We are seeking Passenger Assistant support workers. You will be supporting vulnerable children and young adults with learning, physical, sensory and communication disabilities travelling on Council provided transport to and from school / colleges.

You will get on well with people, have a compassionate, supportive, and patient nature.

You will assist them where necessary getting on and off from vehicles and work closely with drivers to ensure all passengers in your care receive a high standard of care and have a safe, pleasant journey.
